A stereotype about teachers is that they prepare lessons at the beginning of their career and then keep them unchanged for decades. On the one hand, such an approach would be monotonous for the teacher; on the other hand, it certainly does not produce the best possible teaching quality. To constantly deal with new concepts and teaching approaches, such as inquiry-based learning, authentic contexts or interdisciplinary questions, brings new momentum into the working life as a teacher and continuously improves one's own teaching.
